TOMORROW NOW

Contemporary artistic practices in the digital culture

Tomorrow Now is a project by Maria Grazia Mattei and Stefano Coletto and coordinated by Stefano Coletto. It takes its name from the recent work by Bruce Sterling and is the outcome of a desire for reflection on digital culture and how it is influencing the transformation of the present and, hence, the evolution of contemporary art. The aim of the project is to develop a location for hosting contemporary digital artistic works.
The space will take the form of an observatory that will support and promote creative realities working in new technologies, realities which however diffused today, still largely operate underground. The aim is also to establish a community of persons capable willing to participate, discuss, debate, and actively contribute to the project.
Tomorrow Now takes place in two different phases: the first involves of a series of monthly meetings with scholars and internally known professionals; the second is a series of weekly meetings geared for existing realities working on a regional and national level, and includes participation from curators, critics and artists involved with innovative and creative new technologies.
